Mission Statement
The Forum aims to democratize access to knowledge and information related to investing for the undergraduate population by aggregating the fragmented resources already available both on campus and through the robust alumni network of the University of Chicago.
There has been an increasing number of students interested in niche areas of investing, who have failed to receive recognition or sponsorship from the university. Although there is a strong presence student groups and of faculty across various institutions at the university with expertise on investing-related topics, resources have unfortunately varied degrees of exclusivity and are disconnected from the majority of interested undergraduate students. At address these problems, the Forum strives to resolve the disconnect between these invaluable resources and the broader undergraduate population by providing campus-wide programmed activities and serving as a platform to endorse interested students to acquire investing related knowledge. |
Team Members
The Forum’s planning committee consists of a Senior Board and Junior Board, and is led by the Co-Chairs. The planning committee represents a consortium of investing-focused student groups on campus, including The Blue Chips Investment Club, Maroon Capital, UChicago Impact Investing Group, Learn to Fly, and OverLeveraged. Leadership representatives of these respective student groups sit on the Senior Board. Meanwhile, the Junior Board has recruited members of these student groups as well as other interested undergraduate students.
