Promontory Investment Research is a university-wide equity research publication that aims to disseminate investment knowledge. After undergoing a 7-week training program covering fundamental accounting and valuation concepts, research analysts use fundamental analysis to research public equities and write comprehensive investment recommendations to be published every quarter. Our presentation aims to highlight the importance of investment research and value investing in the financial markets, break down the equity research process into its quantitative and qualitative factors, and discuss its applications in various careers in finance.
