Tim Hurd is the President and CIO of BlueSpruce, a long-biased fund which focuses on public equities in the business services, consumer, financial technology / asset management, healthcare, and TMT sectors.
Before starting BlueSpruce in 2013, Mr. Hurd spent seventeen years investing in private equities at Madison Dearborn, most recently as a Managing Director, where he invested in and served on the boards of numerous firms including PayPal, TransUnion, and Nuveen Investments. He began his career practicing M&A at Goldman Sachs. He holds an MBA from Harvard and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with Highest Distinction. |
